These Are The Moments I Think That I'm Alive...

My bday and update...

It's been a rough two weeks for me. So much going on and I'm indecisive about a lot of things. I'm glad to have overcome most of it. Miscommunication with hubby and we weren't on the same page on a lot of things. I hate this season of all because it's hunting season and the hubby goes out frequently. There's not a thing I can do about his hobbies. He likes it and will continue to enjoy it while I have to stay home and enjoy the wife/motherly role. Sucks to be me sometimes...

On another note, boo boo has been registered to play soccer in a club this fall. Finally got all the gears we needed this past weekend. Boy, it is not cheap but it's all worth it. Our first practices was today with the team. and we've been practicing on our own too. After practice we decided to go to Todai for free food for my bday. It was yummy!!

Then we stopped by the hospital to see Emily and Tiny and family. Their baby is so cute. I think the baby looks like Emily. Well, the hubby is off Thursday and Friday. He's going hunting this weekend. I'll find something to do. I'm thinking since Tiny's parents are still here, I might take them to the beach and go crabbing!!! They're leaving in less then one week. Yea...maybe I'll do just that!

A funny scene during practice.

The past weekend was interesting! I was sick the whole weekend with migraines off and on. The weather didn't cooperate so we didn't get to go fishing as planned.

Saturday - was a couch potato all morning and then the hubby wanted to go to the fisherman's store to pick up more fishing supplies. Denny's family celebrated their dad's 50th bday. I don't know Denny's family that well so I didn't go. Jio texted and invited to Chee's bday. Hubby went to Denny's dad's bday. He said we can go to Chee's bday after he's done at Denny's. I waited for the hubby all afternoon and never came home. I called to see when he was coming home so we can head out to Chee's bday but all he said was, "ib pliag". That means, "in a bit". Well, ib pliag turned into hours and I got tired of waiting so I left to Chee's bday party without the hubby. After an hour, he showed up at Chee's mom's. I was like WTF? Anyway, I'm glad he didn't drive there. He car pooled with Denny. We ate and hung out and talked until midnight and then came home. Hubby was puking all over the bathroom sink and it was NASTY! EW disgusting! And NO I didn't clean it up!

Sunday, stayed home all day with migraine. Couch potatoe once again and so was the hubby. We didn't go anyway!!! Felt horrible!

Monday - Planned to go fishing early in the morning. Woke up early and went grocery shopping for some food for our fishing outing. I kid you not, it's way cheaper then making a gas station stop for food. Came home and the hubby said he doesn't want to go anymore. So since he doesn't want to go anymore, I decided to take booboo to the State Fair. We stopped by the outlet mall and bought a few last minute things for school. Also bought a coach purse for myself and two other wristlets for my nieces. Booboo and I only spent two hours at the fair. We got there and booboo wanted to go straight to the rides and games but I made him wait because I wanted to check out the exhibits. I was hoping to find Cutco Knives company so I can get some info on sending my rusty knives in for sharpening. LOL Anyway, didn't find them so headed to the games and rides! I purchased $40 worth of tickets and it was pathetic! All the games were expensive! We got a few games in and won some small stuff animals. Enough to make the little guy happy. Believe it or not, we only went on ONE ride. I was feeling dizzy and nausea from it. Finally headed home. It was 10pm when we got home. We were really tired.

Tuesday - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! Took booboo to his class and helped drop off school supplies to the teacher. Booboo was happy to be back in school. This years, he has a male teacher. I'm curious to find out the different teaching skills between a male and females teachers. When to work and then picked up boobo at the daycare and he told me that he had forgotten his lunch bag after recess. I was really disappointed but didn't have a fit. Just told him to ask his teacher the next day.

Wednesday - Pick up booboo from daycare and he said, he still couldn't find his lunch bag. Man, that darn thing was $10! Yea I know it's only $10 but it's a big deal to me. We headed out to the outlet mall again. Bought my SIL a coach wristlet for her bday.

Thursday - Went to GAP and bought another lunch bag. It was cheaper and a little bigger. Also went to Freddie's and bought a card and bottle of wine for BOSS lady for her bday. Picked up booboo from daycare and went straight to WA Square mall to go look for the matching back pack. Booboo was craving Cheesecake Factory so we stopped by and had happy hour. It was YUMMY!!! Then we headed to GAP and they didn't have the matching backpack.. Asked the clerk to call the other stores and finally the store downtown had a few in stock. Drove all the way to downtown just for a backpack. Isn't that ridiculous? Arrived at GAP and that darn backpack was $19.99!! I checked online and it was only $10.99. The clerk told me that online prices are different from the store. DAMN!!! Then I started debating if it was worth it. Do we REALLY need to buy another back pack? The one he currently has works just FINE! I didn't buy it. Too expensive, end of story. Can't believe we drove all the way downtown just for a back pack and didn't even buy it. OMG, I can't believe I wasted the whole evening running around for a lame backpack! What a waste of GAS, too! UGHHH I'm never doing that again!!!!

Friday - Got confirmation from my litle bro that SIL received the package. Will be going to the store for last minute fishing supplies and food. Yes, gotta have food cause we will be in the middle of the river with no access to mini markets and what not. :-)

Until then enjoy the weekend peeps!!

PRIDE award party

My husband received a prestigious award today. His boss and a co-worker tracked me down yesterday to attend the surprise award ceremony today. I am honored. I took a half day vacation. When I arrived at the hospital, his co-worker took both my son and I to the lounge. The room was set up very nicely with fruit punch, fruit bowl, and a cake. We sat in the corner so the hubby can’t see us. Keep in mind he doesn’t know he is getting an award. I met his boss his boss for the first time. She’s a very generous person. We waited patiently in the room. Employee after employee came into the lounge. I got to meet everyone and say hi and exchange a few words. They are all very nice. But it seems the attention goes to booboo. They all were commented how booboo looks EXACTLY like his daddy. They called him “mini Po”. That was so cute! Finally, the last employee brought the hubby into the lounge and everyone shouted, “SURPRISED!!!” I felt like we were celebrating a birthday party. He was so blushed and surprised. I’ve never seen him smile so GRAND! He looked really happy. I was really happy for him that he got nominated. He is a hard worker, therefore, it’s good to know that hard work does pay off. He received a really nice plaque and $100 gift certificate. He got to take pictures with the big guys of the hospital. We even got a family picture!!! I can’t wait to advertise it! LOL After the executive’s speech, the hubby and booboo cut the cake. Everyone ate and drank and share some humor. Shortly after people left the lounge, he asked me when we got there and I didn’t provide any details. I just said I don’t know.

Anyway, I had a great time and wait until he comes home so I can see that BIG smile again.

Back to the NORM...

It's been quiet since the nephew and family left. I am so looking forward to back to school. Booboo will be in 3rd grade! Wow, where have all the years gone? Time flies when you're so occupied with a zillion things on your mind. Anyway, so glad back to school supplies shopping is done and over with. I'm super happy that I don't have to fight with the last minute shoppers this year. LOL

On another note, the husband has been nominted to receive a very prestigous award tomorrow. It's a surprise. He doesn't have a clue about it. His boss called me today (I've never met her) and invited me and my son to the award party tomorrow afternoon. I am honored to be invited and included on this very special day for my husband. I can already imagine his facial expression when he sees us. :-)

Anyway, below is a video from fishing this past weekend.
