Let me see if I can list them all…

Found out I have gestational diabetes and started on insulin. Stressed but it’s temporary and doing it for the baby’s health.

Went down to Fresno during July 4th weekend to celebrate my FIL surviving tumor. Glad to see the whole family – near and far. We had a blast!

Finally went shopping for maternity clothes.

Found out the sex of our baby! It’s BOY!!!

Summer school started July 19th – enrolled Prince in a writing program.

Went on our first camping at the end of July. It was HOT!!

Celebrated Prince’s bday at daycare and bought him things on his wish list. Glad that he didn’t expect much this year.

Soccer development program ended for Prince the weekend of Aug 14th. He’s come a long way and I am so proud of him.

Fall recreational soccer season started week of Aug 9th – practice on Tuesdays and Thursday with games on Saturday

Summer school ended Aug 19th.

Most exciting – had a 3D ultrasound and saw the baby’s face so clear. He looks different from Prince.

La Cheng was hospitalized and the docs performed an operation on his stomach and found a fish bone stuck in his small intestine and also diagnosed with diabetes.

Nang hospitalized for a month and half and then had another open heart surgery. She is doing better…

So as you can see, so much has happened. There’s a lot more but these are the ones I consider most important.  Other than that the pregnancy has been going very well. I’ve gained a total of 20lbs and the doc said that I’m doing pretty good with the gestational diet. I saw my OB doc on Aug 11th and she said I have not gained a pound since July 11th. She also added that if I continue to gain a pound or two in the next few months I will be right on the dot for pounds gained during the whole pregnancy. I don’t expect to not gain that much with this baby as I did with Prince. Everyone knows that with your first, you are excited and eat WHATEVER you want. I know better this time around and also with gestational, I am more careful with the food consumption.

On another note, I am quite sad that I have not been able to go fishing or ride in our boat and take long weekend family fishing/camping trips like last year. Well, this is due to the pregnancy and not being able to go anywhere. I guess it’s ok. We’ll have more time next year plus we have one more person to enjoy with. BTW, I can’t wait to see him…

Last but not least, uncle Hue is getting married. We are happy for him and can’t wait to meet his bride. Wherever they decide to reside, we’ll be happy for them.

Hmmm…debating if I should enroll Prince in falll soccer development program or not. Hesitant because I don’t know if I can handle recreational soccer practices Tuesday and Thursday with games on Saturday and development soccer practices on Fridays and games on Sunday. What to do??

Memorial Weekend

My holiday weekend is pretty laid back. Friday I had pain in my lower left abdominal. Saw the doc and had an ultrasound to rule out what was causing the pain. Uterus is tilted towards rectum so baby position was putting pressure on lower left side. Glad to know that it wasn't anything serious.

Left work early. Came home and rested a bit and then worked a bit and then met up with Pang, Pang's mom, and Wendy at the Chinese buffet. I was craving crayfish and the owner made two special plates for us. Ate most of it and felt sick afterwards. Not sure if it was old, but it had a funky smell to it. It didn't taste as good as before. Could probably blame it on the pregnancy. hahaha Anyway, came home and surfed on the net for a bit adn then called it night. Had to get some sleep before heading out to Lincoln city the next morning.

Saturday - Woke up at 7:30am. Showered, dressed and helped booboo dressed. Jio had not come to pick us up yet so I headed to Best Baguette to grab a couple of Vietnamese sandwich. Headed to Pang's mom's house and everyone was still getting ready. Geez louis! Some people take FOREVER to get ready. I am guilty but not this time. I didn't even put make up on or fix my hair. Just showered and blow dried and go! lol Anyway, finally everyone was ready and we headed to the coast. It seemed like a very long drive but it wasn't that bad because I had Pang's mom to conversate with. Yes, always nice talking to OG.

Arrived at Lincoln city and headed to the Tanger Outlet mall. Looked around all the stores to see if they had any maternity clothes but there weren't any. Not even a Motherhood store. Tagged along with the others from store to store. I didn't EVEN buy anything. NOTHING. After a couple of hours, I was super hungry. I headed back to the car and ate my sandwich and then I got tired after I finished the sandwich and slept in the car waiting for the others. When I woke up from my nap, the others had not come back yet. Then I went to look for them and they were still shopping. I felt like eating California sushi rolls so I bought some. Dang took them forever to make!! I was getting annoyed. Finally got them after 40 minutes of waiting. Ate and eh didn't fill me up or satisfy me. Then the others called and said they were done shopping so we are going to eat. We to Thai Jasmine restaurant. We order lots of food but I only ate a little bit. The food was ok. I had better else where.

After we ate, we drove along the coast to do some sightseeing. Wow, it was beautiful (as usual). We even stopped by the beach so that the kids can have some fun in the sand and water. Not so fun cleaning sand off their pants and legs, and feet. Then we all headed home. Got back to Pang's mom's house, we hung out and talked for a few hours and Yi and Zee took us home around 11:30pm. It was a long day. Glad to hit the sheets.

Sunday - Woke up at 8am and talked to mom for about 40 minutes. Shared with her the trip to the coast and the docs appt on Friday. Always a joy to talk with mom. She's my best friend. I'm glad to still have her in my life. I miss her dearly.

Getting ready to finish some work and then will head out to Pang's mom's house to make some goodies and papaya salad. My in laws were supposed to be here tonight but because they have been under the weather for a couple of weeks now they are not coming anymore. We are sad, especially Prince because he has been counting down the days. I finally broke the news to him last night that his grandparents aren’t coming anymore. He was sad and keep asking, “why, why, why?” I just told him that they were really sick and get can’t get on the plane. He accepted it as is.

Update on pregnancy – still no sickness just extreme fatigue and always hungry. I have gained 10lbs in the last 3 weeks! It’s not a joke! Nothing fits now. My clothes are tight, especially my pants. Can’t button anymore…

We are going to a graduation party this weekend in Spokane, WA. I went shopping and found nothing. Literally nothing fits!! I tried on dresses, shirts, blouses, and etc… I have to admit it is a bit depressing. I’m not big enough to wear maternity clothes yet but not small enough to wear my normal size clothes either! Arghhhh. Thank god I didn’t buy anything prior to finding out that I was prego.

Had another dr's appt yesterday. Found out prego with baby#2 on April 6th. So unexpected - tried for several years but was unsuccessful. Like they say, stop trying and maybe it will happen. Saw the doc on April 8th, 10th, and 16th to do BETA blood test to confirm the pregnancy. Today I had a vaginal ultrasound to hear the heartbeat. It was amazing to see the little heart beating. Looks like a blinking cursor in a dark sack. AWE… Heartbeat was at 120. Doc said that is really good. This would mark the 3rd month in a row, which is unusual. Hey what do you know, no breast tenderness or soreness. Yay!!! That was also a painful sign that Aunt Flo is near. Anyway, even though she was on time and it wasn't January 2010 yet, therefore the new health ins hasn't taken effect. The aggressive treatment required on days 2, 3, or 4 didn't take effect either. I'm somewhat bummed that I have to wait for the next cycle but it's ok, I was able to get the other necessary tests/procedures done.

HSG procedure done on day 10 and results came back normal. It was a brutal experience. It was painful! Went to work afterwards and felt like my insides were going to come out. Had cramps for a few days. My stomach was so painful it felt as if I did a thousand nonstop ab crunches. Then a couple days after I went in for the Glucose tolerance blood work. Geez, drove all the way to the hospital lab only to find out that I had forgotten my work order form. Had to drive all the way back home and get the lab work order form. The drink was super duper SWEET - fruit punch flavor!! Yuck! I just couldn't gulp it all at once. I took small sips and with every swallowed sip of that nasty sweet drink, I felt the urge to throw up each and every time. But the lab tech told me that if I threw up then we would start the test all over again! Hell no! I tried as hard as I could to hold it down. UGHHH, it was awful! Started to feel dizzy so I told the lab people that I needed to lay down and rest. Glucose tolerance test results came back abnormal. I got all excited to get these brutal tests done only to find out that I am pre-diabetic and the reason for infertility, diagnosed with PCOS. Why am I not surprised? Diabetes runs in my family - mama and sisters are diabetics. I just never thought I would have it. Anyway, I needed to visit the FS for the next step of the treatment - medication to regulate menstrual periods, ovulation, and blood sugar.

NOTE: Been using ovulation sticks to detect O and it hasn't happened yet. Bought some more (day 18) to continue testing until detected.

Went to the doctors office following week (day 18). The medical assistant was drawing blood and unsuccessful. After the 4th attempt, it hurts so bad I was screaming. The doc felt bad that she gave me a stbx coffee gift card. Awe, that was so nice of her! Thanks Dr. Chang. And they had to send me to the hospital lab to get the blood work. Waited for almost an hour (when told that it would be only 20-25 min wait) and still not called for blood drawn. At the same time I went to the counter and asked why I haven't been called because people who arrived after me had already had their blood work done. Finally my name was called and they told me that it was based on time sensitivity and the urgency of the blood work order. Anyway, it only took two minutes for my blood work. So much for waiting an hour for only a two minute draw and now my whole morning was gone. I only expected to be gone from work for at least 2 hours the longest but that lead to 3.5 hours!

Waiting for the results. The blood work was needed to rule out if the kidneys and liver were normal. If so then proceed with Metformin, medication to regulate menstrual periods, ovulation, and control blood sugar.

On another note, I got my eyes check. New health insurance and benefits. The optometrist say my prescription hadn't changed that much. She even mentioned that my eyesight is only 10% bad. I asked her if contact lenses were an option and she said no because I don't need to wear my glasses all the time. I only use my glasses for work when I'm in front of a computer and wear at night only. She also gave me a lot of info on how to take care of the eyes. Anyway, went to Binyons and picked out a nice frame - Bebe brand. I was brave enough to switch from the thin frame to the thick half circle frames.

***silent treatment on DH***

THE NEW YEAR 2010

HAPPY (belated) NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

The movie was awesome! Booboo enjoyed it a lot. He can't wait for the DVD.

For NYE we didn't do anything. Too old to be going out and drinking. I haven't gone out in years and honestly I don't drink so there's no point of drinking on NYE. We had a very quiet night at home. Just me and booboo. Hubby is out with his buddies playing pool at VaYee's house (the usual).

We went to IKEA today and it was a mad ZOO!! So many people like there's a HUGE sale going on but I didn't see much of a sale any where. I got a few things for booboo. Mostly was there for the food, the LOX (marinated salmon with salad) and swedish meatballs - yummy! The great thing was that kid's ate for free!!!!! While we were there we met Pai's (Luav) family. Her boys were cute as always and very talkative and fluent in Hmong. The first thing they asked was, "Nej tuaj ab tsi nov thiab nab?". That means, "What are you guys doing here too?" hahaha We did the usual - hugs and kisses. As we were shopping, we saw Luav again but this time his facial expression said a lot. He was very worried. He asked if we had seen his middle child (son) and we said no. He said that his son had wandered off and they are looking for him. I started to worry too because there's soooo many people there. Wondering how are they'er going to find that child. So booboo and I helped them look. OMG, my heart started beating fast. I can only imagine if that was my child, I would be scared and worried and mad at the same time. While looking I got a voice mail from Pai that she found her son out by the entrance waiting area. OMG!! I was happy knowing that she had found him. I guessed Luav doesn't know this yet because he was still looking when we crossed paths again. I quickly told him that Pai had found him out in the entrance waiting area and you can definitely see relieved on his face. We saw their family again at the check out stands. The lost child was crying to me and telling me that he got lost and went out to wait for his parents in the waiting area. Thank GOD no one took him. I'm so afraid of the child abductor thing! My heart and world would be shattered if something like that was to happen to my child. I don't even want to think about it. Anyway, just glad that he's ok. What a crazy moment!!

Then headed over to ROSS and bought a few things - table cloth and mats. And I saw a "Leg Magic Exerciser" for $23 and bought it!!! Wow that's a deal. Last year one of my coworker was going to sell hers for $60! I haven't used it yet. I am excited to use it tomorrow. I'll post about it later.

Came home, changed and headed to play volleyball at the rec center. It was fun as always and quite a work out, too. I can not stress how much I enjoy playing volleyball.

New Year's Eve - n-  NOTHINGNESS

Heading out to the movies. We had a great Christmas - just the three of us. It seems booboo was just counting down the days til xmas day and now it's over. I had been off since the 24th. Sad to say but we ended up not going to the in-laws anymore. Hubby had to work on xmas eve. It would be too much to gather everything and drive 12 hours down on xmas eve to arrive on xmas morning and try to make it back the following Monday. Mil was pretty disappointed. I felt super terrible! I hate to see my in laws disappointed and hurt. If it was all up to me, I would have gone down without hesitation. Anyway, we'll make it up to her.

WARNING: Long entry...

Anyway, we went over to Em and Thai's place on xmas eve to deliver Julius' present and let's just say it was not what I expected at all. On our way there, I called/txt'd them constantly to let them know that we were stopping by to drop off Julius's present. Both of them did not pick up their cell phones at all. I left them both voice/text messages but still no response. I figured Em had to be home and Thai at work. We arrived at their apartment complex and I noticed their living room lights are on. I thought of nothing but only that maybe Em was feeding or giving Julius a bath and didn't hear her phone. So I got out of my car and went to their door and knocked. After a few knocks I heard a male voice that I didn't recognized but thought it might be Thai's voice. Maybe he's got the flu and he lost his voice (I don't know). He yelled out, "who is it?", I responded in confusion and being funny, "what do you mean who is it?". He asked one more time and I said, "who's this?". So then he said, "sorry you have the wrong house", and I quickly responded in confusion, "I do?". Still confused as to why he would tell me I got the wrong house. Ok at this point, I really thought I got the wrong house because I hardly visit them. Then as I stepped away from the door, and Thai calls me back. I answered and asked him where he was and he told me he was at work. I asked him where Em was and he said she should be home. I am totally confused at this point and then I proceeded the conversation and asked him if there's anyone with Em and he said yes, her friend and bf. Then I told him that I knocked on the door and some male told me that I had the wrong house and also asked him to confirm his apt #. After he confirmed the number, I didn't have the wrong house. Anyway, told Thai that we stopped by to drop off Julius's present. He told me that he would try to get a hold of Em. A few minutes later, Em opens the door and she's on the phone with Thai all angry and cussing. Anyhow, I was in shocked that someone would tell me that I had the wrong house. Still shocked that they didn't just open the door to see who it was before saying that I had the wrong house. Honestly, I was a little hurt when I saw Em opened the door and on the phone with Thai. In my mind, I'm thinking...I would never NOT OPEN the door for them, why would they to me? Ok, still shocked and confused and not really knowing what Thai and Em were saying to each other. I ran back to my car and grabbed the present and booboo got out of the car and followed me to their apt. After I handed the present to Em, she was really mad and yelled out, "Aunt Joua, WTF did you say to Tiny?" right in front of her gf's bf. I was shocked to hear this because my son was right behind me and heard all of this. Then her gf's bf apologize that he didn't know who I was and he said that he asked Em if she was expecting anyone and she said no. Therefore he didn't open the door. Em insisted that I come in and meet her gf and the bf but honestly, I pretty much felt like a fool by then. I couldn't face her friend and bf after she made it sound like I said something to Thai and he's cussing her out. I really don't know what was said between them two but yeah when she yelled out, "WTF did you to Tiny?". I told her all I said was that they (meaning whomever it was that opened the door) didn't open the door and told me that I had the wrong house. Basically, this whole thing was a miscommunication that blew up in proportion. I felt like I should have NEVER dropped by, by surprise that is and maybe none of this would have happened. But we just couldn't wait to give Julius his gift.

Anyway, Em did call/txt and apologized about the whole thing. Even though I was confused, shocked, and a little hurt I didn't let it get to me. It was all a misunderstanding/miscommunication only. No worries. However, I was a little disappointed that my son had to witnessed all of this. Later he asked me why his SIL Thai was angry. Don't worry, I explained everything to him and it's all ok now. I kid you not, kids are smarter than you think. Don't ever underestimate them or their thinking. **wink**

Anyway, Christmas Eve/Day was very nice. Woke up to make breakfast and then opened our gifts. Booboo loved EVERYTHING we got him. It's a good feeling when you can fulfil their wish list. hahaha

Day after Christmas we went shopping and bought a ton of xmas supplies for next year. It was sooo dirt cheap. Everything was 75% off so yea I spent no more then $1.49 for each individual item. The only expensive thing I bought is the BIG storage box that I needed to store all the stuff I just bought. Yep, I'm stocking up for next year. I can't wait. Instead of the traditional xmas red, white, blue, green theme, our color for next year is royal blue and silver!!!! Whoohoo!! lol Pretty much the whole weekend was spent inside watching movies - from morning til late morning the next day.

Saturday and Sunday night, headed to the recreational gym and played volleyball. Sunday had the best turnout though. There were people that I've never seen before who came by and played. I'm just happy that everyone knows how to play. I was also very happy that my hubby tagged along, too! He was SUPER sored afterwards. Hahaha...reminds me of me the first couple of days I went to play.

wow the year is almost over...

I can't believe that this year is coming to an end. Working Mon-Wed next week then off to the in-laws until next year year!! Looking back, where did 2009 go? What did I do all year? Let's see:

- visit mom during Mother's Day week
- purchased a boat (fishing all summer long)
- visit mom during Halloween week (basically lived at hospital)
- enrolled Prince in soccer clubs (indoor n outdoor)
- gained weight :-(

Ok, that's all I can think of right now but that doesn't look like a decent list. Basically nothing was accomplished. oh geez!!!! What is wrong with me?

I am looking forward to a new and better year - 2010. It's been a long time and it's time for another one. We are planning baby #2. My son has been begging for a sibling for a few years now. He is excited! I can't wait. I am currently seeing an infertility/fertility specialist. I really like her. She seems to have lots of knowledge in this field. I already had my first visit and it went well. We signed up for my hubby's insurance, which supposedly paying 50% for fertility treatments so that's a plus. We can't really start treatment until January. Like I said I am quite excited. Can't wait to have another baby.

BTW, I'm done with Christmas shopping(a couple of weeks ahead of schedule this year). Yay!!! Will never do the last minute shopping EVER again. It can be brutal trying to fight the rowdy last minute Christmas shoppers too! Not that I expected but there's nothing under the tree for me. I know sad...but like I said, I don't expect anything. And mostly the spirit is for my little man. LOL

On another note, my husband had a dream that I cheated on him. LMAO Really? He couldn't wait until morning so he had to wake me up in the middle of the night to tell me about it. OH lord! Well, during Valentine weeekend, we attended one of his good friend's funeral in Spokane, WA and I encountered my first love after almost twenty years. I told hubby that ex bf complimented on my looks and little did I know, he was jealous so he decided not to attend the second day of funeral. Instead he drove us to Seattle and spent some family times. And later I heard from the ex bf's nieces that there had been some rumors that I was ex bf mistress (at that time). How stupid of Hmong people to assume and gossip without getting the facts straight. Also the ex bf's wife got all dressed up to check out the mistress the next day. WTF? Hahaha remember my hubby took us to Seattle instead of staying for another day at the funeral. hahaha I found this all too funny but not the hubby. He found it disturbing and probably why he had a dream about me cheating. And if you're wondering...no I don't believe in infidelity so no such thing in my dictionary.

Geez, some people are just so annoying and irritating. How do you stop being nice to people and stop having such a white heart? People take me for granted I swear!! This will be a lesson to learn in 2010!!!

Before I forget...been missing my ma and pa dearly. Been crying myself to sleep again.

~Thanksgiving~

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 347px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/Syxl2PsNGlI/AAAAAAAAASg/a5GL4QNfEIY/s400/greenblue.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416816434419145298" />

sick

I can't believe I am sick again. I was doing ok until after lunch. Blondie and I went to Red Robin for lunch. I had the yummy Swiss Shroom Burger. It was yummy but I also noticed that it was a bit more juicier - maybe it's the oil. I don't know. Proceeded with my afternoon and then all of the sudden my stomach felt weird, my head started spinning, I was cold and then hot and then cold and HOT! I just didn't feel good. Came home and slept all afternoon. My body aches!! But I don't get it, how can my body ache? I didn't do anything! I haven't exercised in years! **sigh** Sounds like the flu...

Anyway, I'm heading back to bed and gonna rest and get ready for Thursday. Hope I will feel better.

On another note, I've been so depressed lately. Something's been bothering me but I don't know what it is. I have a lot on my mind. I can't believe I cried myself to sleep last night. No one will ever know or hear me cry (cry for help and love)... :-(

Brrrr...

I can feel the winter near. This week alone is cold. Wind has been pretty tense and suddenly rain added. This is definitely a sign that winter is near. But good thing is the winter here isn't nearly as cold as MN. Although I miss my family greatly, I don't miss the below windchill temps. LOL

For the past weeks, just busy with work and soccer. Last week the hubby was out hunting. And no, they didn't catch anything. We missed him. On Sunday night, it was nice to see him home again. We didn't even go to sleep. We talked for hours until 3:30am. Love those late to early morning talks but hate getting up in two hours for work! I was tired and had a migraine all day. Came home early because I was so sick to my stomach!

Today I was sick all day but I still worked my 8 hours! There were a few people telling me that I should listen to my body. I was sick and I shouldn't be there but being the trooper that I am, I hung on as long as I could. Talked to my mom on my way to pick up Booboo from daycare. My little bro pulled a stupid joke on me. He answered and sounded like my older brother. I asked for my mother and he said she is not home. I started to panick and asked where she was. He replied that she was at the hospital. My heart started beating faster and faster. I asked him what for and he said she had a fever so they took her straight to the emergency from dialysis. That scared me! My brother's voice sounded low and worried. I asked why he sounded like that. He said he had lots on his mind and stressed out. I got really scare and wondering why my mom was hospitalized. He told me to hold on...and then I heard my mom on the other line. Without hesitation I quickly asked her where she was. And she replied, "on my bed". I said, "bed where?" She said she's on her bed at home. I got furious at whomever was pulling that trick on me! I don't like jokes like that! Now why the eff would someone play around with me like that!!???

On my way home I was feeling a bit anxious. Not sure what it was but my intuition was hinting that something isn't right. I called the daycare lady right away and asked her if Booboo had gone to her place. She answered yes. My heart stopped beating rapidly. I just knew that everything was going to be ok. Damn, it had to rain so there was no soccer practice! Booboo was pretty bummed. Took him to eat pho. Came home and relaxed a bit. Still sick but again being a trooper about it.

Can't wait until this week is over. I hope this sickness goes away soon.

Booboo right before his game...

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/StVFFveyKGI/AAAAAAAAASY/RTufAhX7FgE/s400/IMG_5021.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392292093793282146" />

My bday and update...

It's been a rough two weeks for me. So much going on and I'm indecisive about a lot of things. I'm glad to have overcome most of it. Miscommunication with hubby and we weren't on the same page on a lot of things. I hate this season of all because it's hunting season and the hubby goes out frequently. There's not a thing I can do about his hobbies. He likes it and will continue to enjoy it while I have to stay home and enjoy the wife/motherly role. Sucks to be me sometimes...

On another note, boo boo has been registered to play soccer in a club this fall. Finally got all the gears we needed this past weekend. Boy, it is not cheap but it's all worth it. Our first practices was today with the team. and we've been practicing on our own too. After practice we decided to go to Todai for free food for my bday. It was yummy!!

Then we stopped by the hospital to see Emily and Tiny and family. Their baby is so cute. I think the baby looks like Emily. Well, the hubby is off Thursday and Friday. He's going hunting this weekend. I'll find something to do. I'm thinking since Tiny's parents are still here, I might take them to the beach and go crabbing!!! They're leaving in less then one week. Yea...maybe I'll do just that!

A funny scene during practice.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v9.nonxt2.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D1c92f839c2f8ab28%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1329999746%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3DA0CD53C37DD29D676B4E18842D7FF01CE1D6673.379FD403F80576CF24568EB62AF764D56EA10BF0%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D1c92f839c2f8ab28%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3D54LISma7MY5b1sPD2WSynW-8NOg&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

numb

Having anxiety attacks. I was sick the whole weekend with migraines off and on. The weather didn't cooperate so we didn't get to go fishing as planned.

Saturday - was a couch potato all morning and then the hubby wanted to go to the fisherman's store to pick up more fishing supplies. Denny's family celebrated their dad's 50th bday. I don't know Denny's family that well so I didn't go. Jio texted and invited to Chee's bday. Hubby went to Denny's dad's bday. He said we can go to Chee's bday after he's done at Denny's. I waited for the hubby all afternoon and never came home. I called to see when he was coming home so we can head out to Chee's bday but all he said was, "ib pliag". That means, "in a bit". Well, ib pliag turned into hours and I got tired of waiting so I left to Chee's bday party without the hubby. After an hour, he showed up at Chee's mom's. I was like WTF? Anyway, I'm glad he didn't drive there. He car pooled with Denny. We ate and hung out and talked until midnight and then came home. Hubby was puking all over the bathroom sink and it was NASTY! EW disgusting! And NO I didn't clean it up!

Sunday, stayed home all day with migraine. Couch potatoe once again and so was the hubby. We didn't go anyway!!! Felt horrible!

Monday - Planned to go fishing early in the morning. Woke up early and went grocery shopping for some food for our fishing outing. I kid you not, it's way cheaper then making a gas station stop for food. Came home and the hubby said he doesn't want to go anymore. So since he doesn't want to go anymore, I decided to take booboo to the State Fair. We stopped by the outlet mall and bought a few last minute things for school. Also bought a coach purse for myself and two other wristlets for my nieces. Booboo and I only spent two hours at the fair. We got there and booboo wanted to go straight to the rides and games but I made him wait because I wanted to check out the exhibits. I was hoping to find Cutco Knives company so I can get some info on sending my rusty knives in for sharpening. LOL Anyway, didn't find them so headed to the games and rides! I purchased $40 worth of tickets and it was pathetic! All the games were expensive! We got a few games in and won some small stuff animals. Enough to make the little guy happy. Believe it or not, we only went on ONE ride. I was feeling dizzy and nausea from it. Finally headed home. It was 10pm when we got home. We were really tired.

Tuesday - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! Took booboo to his class and helped drop off school supplies to the teacher. Booboo was happy to be back in school. This years, he has a male teacher. I'm curious to find out the different teaching skills between a male and females teachers. When to work and then picked up boobo at the daycare and he told me that he had forgotten his lunch bag after recess. I was really disappointed but didn't have a fit. Just told him to ask his teacher the next day.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/Sqrz47u8v-I/AAAAAAAAASA/TOC03AXk2ZI/s400/IMG_4910.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5380380864280313826" />

Wednesday - Pick up booboo from daycare and he said, he still couldn't find his lunch bag. Man, that darn thing was $10! Yea I know it's only $10 but it's a big deal to me. We headed out to the outlet mall again. Bought my SIL a coach wristlet for her bday.

Thursday - Went to GAP and bought another lunch bag. It was cheaper and a little bigger. Also went to Freddie's and bought a card and bottle of wine for BOSS lady for her bday. Picked up booboo from daycare and went straight to WA Square mall to go look for the matching back pack. Booboo was craving Cheesecake Factory so we stopped by and had happy hour. It was YUMMY!!! Then we headed to GAP and they didn't have the matching backpack.. Asked the clerk to call the other stores and finally the store downtown had a few in stock. Drove all the way to downtown just for a backpack. Isn't that ridiculous? Arrived at GAP and that darn backpack was $19.99!! I checked online and it was only $10.99. The clerk told me that online prices are different from the store. DAMN!!! Then I started debating if it was worth it. Do we REALLY need to buy another back pack? The one he currently has works just FINE! I didn't buy it. Too expensive, end of story. Can't believe we drove all the way downtown just for a back pack and didn't even buy it. OMG, I can't believe I wasted the whole evening running around for a lame backpack! What a waste of GAS, too! UGHHH I'm never doing that again!!!!

Friday - Got confirmation from my litle bro that SIL received the package. Will be going to the store for last minute fishing supplies and food. Yes, gotta have food cause we will be in the middle of the river with no access to mini markets and what not. :-)

Until then enjoy the weekend peeps!!

PRIDE award party

My husband received a prestigious award today. His boss and a co-worker tracked me down yesterday to attend the surprise award ceremony today. I am honored. I took a half day vacation. When I arrived at the hospital, his co-worker took both my son and I to the lounge. The room was set up very nicely with fruit punch, fruit bowl, and a cake. We sat in the corner so the hubby can’t see us. Keep in mind he doesn’t know he is getting an award. I met his boss his boss for the first time. She’s a very generous person. We waited patiently in the room. Employee after employee came into the lounge. I got to meet everyone and say hi and exchange a few words. They are all very nice. But it seems the attention goes to booboo. They all were commented how booboo looks EXACTLY like his daddy. They called him “mini Po”. That was so cute! Finally, the last employee brought the hubby into the lounge and everyone shouted, “SURPRISED!!!” I felt like we were celebrating a birthday party. He was so blushed and surprised. I’ve never seen him smile so GRAND! He looked really happy. I was really happy for him that he got nominated. He is a hard worker, therefore, it’s good to know that hard work does pay off. He received a really nice plaque and $100 gift certificate. He got to take pictures with the big guys of the hospital. We even got a family picture!!! I can’t wait to advertise it! LOL After the executive’s speech, the hubby and booboo cut the cake. Everyone ate and drank and share some humor. Shortly after people left the lounge, he asked me when we got there and I didn’t provide any details. I just said I don’t know.

Anyway, I had a great time and wait until he comes home so I can see that BIG smile again.

Back to the NORM...

It's been quiet since the nephew and family left. I am so looking forward to back to school. Booboo will be in 3rd grade! Wow, where have all the years gone? Time flies when you're so occupied with a zillion things on your mind. Anyway, so glad back to school supplies shopping is done and over with. I'm super happy that I don't have to fight with the last minute shoppers this year. LOL

On another note, the husband has been nominted to receive a very prestigous award tomorrow. It's a surprise. He doesn't have a clue about it. His boss called me today (I've never met her) and invited me and my son to the award party tomorrow afternoon. I am honored to be invited and included on this very special day for my husband. I can already imagine his facial expression when he sees us. :-)

Anyway, below is a video from fishing this past weekend.
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v1.nonxt6.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D4075e07e2f33c356%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1329999746%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D842A20E195C77C751852B2CBB8AD8FEAE5418B38.5D95F825CA3FC54F7153E7669319CF8DEEF2CE7B%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D4075e07e2f33c356%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DG_n8Wdq6nbkzHFMO0sql5t4b-fg&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Had a good weekend...

I had a great weekend! Yia and Nyaab Yia came to town on Thursday. I took a half day vacation to take them to the beach and crabbing. We went out to lunch and then stopped by Fred Meyer’s to finish up last minute crabbing supply shopping. There was traffic jam on our there and the reason why it took us longer than usual. Normally takes 2 hours but it took 3 hours! It wasn’t bad because we talked a lot.

Arrived in Lincoln City and played at the beach shore for a bit. The kids absolutely loved it! Booboo for sure didn’t want to leave but we had to because it was getting late and we needed to head out to our next destination. Stopped by another Fred Meyer’s again to buy crabbing license and grab some food. We weren’t so lucky but still got some small crabs! We were there until 1am. Got home around 3:30am and the hubby said he wants to take us salmon fishing at Columbia River. Although we were all so tired, we washed up and packed (NO SLEEP) and jumped into his truck and went fishing. Went to Cascade locks and had no luck. After 5 hours of nothing, we loaded the boat and went to the Columbia River. We were hopeless after being out the whole day and nothing is biting. The hubby and Yia were thinking out loud that we will be packing up soon. Surely after 30 minutes something bites!! I think the hubby pulled it and reeled in and then he gave it to Yia to reeled and guess what? SALMON!!! I was sleeping at the time and heard that they got something so I woke up immediately and starting looking for my digital camera and started filming. I woke up drunken and filmed. It was the happiest moment! We were all so excited! So we packed up and came home. The hubby and Yia said they wanted to go back Sunday to try and fish some more. We were all so dead tired by the time we got home. We washed up and started cooking the crabs and the salmon. It was yummy! Cleaned up and went to sleep because we have to get up early and get ready for another day of fishing.

Got up Sunday morning around 7am and went to Best Baguette store. I picked up some yummy Vietnamese sandwiches, came home and cooked breakfast so we can eat breakfast on the boat. This is time we weren’t so lucky. We were out all day and caught nothing! I repeat, NOTHING! Oh well, better luck next time. Came home and ordered pizza and talked for an hour with Yia and Nyaab Yia and they went back to Thai and Em’s place. Finally called it night! TIRED... ***yawning**

Visitors...

Last night around midnight I cooked the salmon that we caught from Sunday. I better cook it before it goes bad. The hubby sliced the salmon open and I marinated with salt and pepper and little bit of lemon. Baked for 30 to 45 minutes. It was read and ate it. It was yummy! I realized that I really like salmon. It is meaty with hardly any bones. I hear salmon has lots of OMEGA3 in it and supposed to be good for your body. :-)

I woke up this morning and there was a message on my phone. It was a nephew from MN. He and his wife and two girls are taking a road trip out here and then maybe Sac, CA. I called and welcome and him to OR. Probably will take them to the beach and go crabbing. His daughters will love it!

Work was good and productive today. Got lots done. Came home and cooked and then sent my husband lunch. Came back home and clean up a bit and did a some yard work. NO, I didn't get to hang out with the nephew and them. Was busy...for sure tomorrow though.

School starts in a couple of weeks for booboo. I can't wait until he goes back to school. He's going to be a third grader. Wow, where has the summer gone? All I remember is we fished all summer long - every weekend! It is FUN!!

My boys are so tired from a long day of fishing.

Not fully back yet  :-(

I haven't found the time to update yet. As I stated on my previous blogs, I was afraid that I wouldn't keep up. :-( There's just too much going on in my life that I can't find the time to document. However, I will find time in the next week days to update my life in a nutshell. A lot has happened since the last blog! Can't believe it's been 6 quick months since then!!!

It was my mom's bday on the 15th and today my siblings and nephews and nieces are celebrating her bday and I am too far to celebrate with them. Been busy and just never have the time to update. When I think about updating, I’m not any where near the computer. When on the computer, I forget to update. Oh well...I’ll try my best cause I sure don’t want lose track of where I’ve been, what I did and what not.

Continuing from my last blog...I was inspired by the whole Inauguration program. I’ve never watched or witnessed one before so I had no clue or any images in my mind what goes on during this event. Few days prior to Inauguration day, I only heard clips here and there from the media that it will take place on January 20th and that there will be a ton of people attending.

Comes January 20th, our email server was down at work and couldn’t do much. Still proceed with the normal day but without email access. I had a chance to log into MSN website and watched the program. Well, actually I didn’t watch much at all, I listened to it through my headphones most of the day. It was really interesting. I could feel the goose bumps rising every time he spoke and the crowd cheered in unison. I was inspired by the fact that if an African American can be President, anything is possible – considering the situation during the slavery era. WOW...is all I can say at that moment. I saw many African Americans who attended the Inauguration and supported President Obama, and that’s when I realized that a President doesn’t have to be Caucasian.  Don’t be surprised if there’s an Asian President in this life time! Remember anything is possible... We all witnessed it. Also, I never knew of the different ball celebrations afterward. Hmmmm...Where have I been? I’ve been in the United States for 30 years and I’ve never witnessed an Inauguration and ball celebrations. Have I been that ignorant? I am ashamed to call myself an Asian American.

Although there’s still a lot of cleaning up to do in the United States, I am still not sure how much he will do or how much he will change how the recession has affected our country. However, I am sure that only time will tell of his success. From past interviews he had with the media, he seems to relate to a lot of citizens in so many ways. I don’t see him a rich person wanting to get rich. I see a human being who cares and understands and wants the people of the United States to be in a better position, to be in good hands. Again, I really don’t know the end result yet but as I stated, only time will tell.

Anyway, booboo has been misbehaving around me lately. At first I wasn’t able to figure out what was wrong but I’ve come to realized that he is getting bigger and he thinks he can get away with lots of things. Let me start with the good things first. I have this plan for booboo...every day when he gets off school, eat supper and then he needs to get all his homework together and go to my room and do his homework. After he finishes his homework, he needs to read one book, and finally he is allowed to play computer games for 30 minutes. Homework must be done by the time I get home from work. If it’s not done he gets time out. LOL No, I’m serious. If it’s not done then he will be in big trouble. So far he’s been cooperating and it’s nice that homework is finished by the time I get home so all I have to do is cook and also gives more time to do misc chores. The bad thing is that he is bigger now so he talks back whenever I ask him to do something for me. Basically he argues and thinks that he is right in everything. If he doesn’t get his way, he cries. And we’ve (hubster and I) told him that big boys don’t cry. He’s slowing changing though.

Super Bowl Sunday was hectic. It’s also the hubster’s bday. I began preparing since Friday night. I went grocery shopping and got most of the stuff for the feast. At this point, I was still clueless on how many people are coming. When I asked him, he just told me to make enough food. How do you know how much is enough food when you don’t even have a clue the number of people coming? BTW, I was still shopping on Sunday morning. Drove all the way to SE PDX and shopped for some more meat. **big sigh** I hated shopping - three days in a row! The party went smoothly. I knocked out by 2am.

Monday, I woke up with a bad migraine! Called into work and said that I will be late due to the terrible migraine. Got to work at noon and worked all day until 7pm. Whew!!! VERY long day for me!

On another note, a good friend lost his battle to colon cancer last Thursday. His funeral is the weekend of Valentine’s Day. How sad is that? We will be attending the funeral. RIP Tod Xiong 

GOD BLESS AMERICA

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

Happy New Year!!!

2008 was a milestone in my life that I will never forget or will remember. Truthfully and regretfully, so much has happened in such a short time span, but at the same time, it made me realize who my true confidants are, who my true friends are, and who my true back stabbers are. In essence, it doesn’t matter how great or the longevity of the friendship, how much grief they’ve given you, or how many times you’ve been tormented, or how much you’ve gone beyond to accommodate them, their TRUE individuality COLORS will ultimately surface. Quite frankly, it hurts when it’s the person(s) who you’re closest to creating the false indictment out of a ridicule melancholy.

Anyway, 2008 started with great personal goals and accomplishments; however, there had been some heart breaking friend and family feuds. I do not promote quarrel mishaps or do I approve of resentments, but personally wished that the feud among us all never steered the direction it did. Whatever unreasonable calamity occurred, I do believe that things happened for a reason and eventually agonies will heal on its own in a matter of time. Needless to say, though some have forgiven and have moved on to bigger and better things in life, others have not forgotten the disruption and have significantly dwelled on grudges. With this said, I have come to realize that the restoration of the relationship will never mend its distinctive format no matter how sincere or how apologetic ones word can be. All in all, this is definitely and beyond doubt, a valuable life lesson to learn from and hope never to encounter such sabotaging experience again. Nonetheless, I believe that this is also God’s way of testing my willpower and patience.

Despite the gratuitous mishaps, I’m self-righteously ready for a new and prosperous New Year. I don’t have any New Year resolutions but with willpower and determination, I will make sure that I live one day at a time and overcome any obstacles and adversities of any sort that come my way.

Done with hibernation and back to reality

Guilty as charge! Every channel I turned to was either the local news about the terrible road conditions, dumb inexperience pdx drivers attempting to drive on the slick, ten feet of snow roads, the bombing in Salem by a father and son, which killed two police officers, the weather forecast and so on. Ughhhhhh...I’m sick to my stomach!

I hibernated more than I needed. I planned to only take off two days work after surgery but it ended to be a little over a week! I couldn’t go any where or do anything. However, during hibernation, I’ve baked a chocolate cake, some cookies, brownies, and banana bread. I’ve never baked so much in my life! That’s a FACT! And I’ve never text messaged anyone as much, too! LOL

Here’s a recap of last week:

Monday – Stayed home and did nothing. Emily’s parents arrived around 6pm at PDX airport.

Tuesday – Stayed home and was a couch potato.

Wednesday – Attempted to get last minute shopping done. Emily came to drop off our presents and stayed until we opened presents at MIDNIGHT (on the dot). The whole Christmas spirit was for Booboo more than anyone else. He sure was excited for all his presents, let alone enjoyed opening other people’s presents. Cleaned up and made hot coco and Booboo and Emily played several rounds of “Connect Four” and then called it night.

Thursday – CHRISTMAS DAY!! We stayed home. Everything and everywhere were closed.

Friday – Stayed home all day and then went to the store and bought a sled for Booboo. My goodness, how is it that a board made of spongy material no more than four feet long cost an arm and leg!!! I didn’t think it worth the money at all.

Saturday – My little family drove to Mt. Hood and tried to find a place where we could put that expensive board to use. It rained the whole drive there and back home. Although the drive took forever, the scenic view of the mountains and valleys were beautiful and breath-taking. Anyway, we didn’t find any place that was open to the public for sledding. We checked out a few places but have no luck. Then we decided to just come home. Even though we didn’t get go sledding, my two boys played a little bit of snow fight. Booboo had so much fun.

We attended an early New Year’s party at a relative’s house and later headed out to bowling then karaoke. Came back to their house and had a “hot pot” feast and had discussions of all subjects all morning. We got home around 6am and knocked out all morning.

Sunday – Returned the sled since we didn’t get to put it to use. The highlight of the day was meeting Emily’s parents – Geri and Jim. We met with Emily’s family at Jin Wah and had dinner. I regret not having a chance to meet them sooner. I really like Geri. I felt so comfortable talking to her.

It felt so good to be back at work finally!! Although it will be a hectic week, it’s better than being stuck at home doing nothing!

And despite all agonies and dramas that have come and gone, it’s time to check back into reality and get back on the road to resume normal activities. “Life Is Too Short...”

Although 2008 has been a rocky road for me, I am looking forward to a better and prosperous 2009!

Happy New Year to everyone!!

Update - Surgery and the cold weather

Been busy and haven’t had the time to update blog. Here’s a recap of what happened since Dec 14th:

Dec 15th – It was snowing and all PDX metro area schools closed. Employer closed the office too so I just stayed home and watched the news all day. Emily and Thai came by and spent the day with us. I made kapoon (curry noodles) and Emily baked brownies and cookies. We had an awesome time.

Dec 16th – Schools were closed again. Woke up and called co-work to see if she was in and if the road conditions were ok. She confirmed that the main roads were ok. I decided to go in. I made sure the car was all warmed up. This part of the morning brought me back to the winter days in MN when I had to get up early, scraped off the snow and ice off the windshield and windows. Anyway, I was the first to drive out our cul de sac. It was slippery and icy. I was having difficulties getting out and onto the other streets. But it was fine when I got to the main street. Although my vehicle has 4WD, I had no idea where the button is so I had to call my husband and ask. After he told me, I put in 4WD but it didn’t really make that big of a difference. It was still slippery and icy. I was irritated by the guy behind me. I kid you not, he drove so close I was afraid if I hit my brakes he would rear end me. Stupid PDX drivers!!! Later when I came home from work, watched the weather all night to see what the weather will be like the next day. They said it was going to be pretty bad – snow and then later mixed with icy rain. Yikes! I’m freaking out!!

Dec 17th – Schools were still closed. Got up to watch the news and the weather man said the morning looks ok but just make sure you can find a safe way home. That just did it for me. I’m embarrassed to admit that I am a wimp. I will not drive on the icy roads. I emailed my boss and told her I’m not going in because I am not comfortable driving on those icy roads. I stayed home again.

Dec 18th – Schools still closed. Although it was snowing a bit in the morning, I decided to go into work and get some things done before my surgery tomorrow. I am taking off on Dec 22nd too so I need to get my butt into work and finish what I can finish for the week. A little nervous about it but it will be ok.

Dec 19th – Surgery day!!! Emily came to pick me up at 8am. We had to be there 8:30am to register. When we left my house, I started to get nervous and the only one thing on my mind was Starbuck’s coffee. I just wanted a double shot of something. But then of course I knew I couldn’t have anything before the surgery so I resisted and didn’t get anything. Finally got there and I kid you not, my nervousness was getting to me that every sign I read was wrong. My mind was not fully there. Emily laughed at me. She repeated assured me that everything was going to be ok. We hung around a little bit then Emily suggested that we should go get coffee for her since she hasn’t slept the whole night. Got coffee and waited to be paged when a room was ready. Boy, I got so nervous when we walked to my room. All that was going on in my mind was that movie “AWAKE”. I was paranoid. Anyway, surgery went fine. Had a headache the nurse gave me a pain killer so it would help relieve the headache and the pain. All I have to say is that pain killer didn’t do so well in my stomach. I got nausea and wanted to barf!!!! Was hungry and told Emily that I wanted to go eat Pho afterwards. We left the hospital and on our way to the Pho place. As soon as we sat down, I felt it coming up. I ran to the bathroom but nothing. Sat down and ate pho in ten minutes and then came home. As soon as we got to the door, I ran straight to the bathroom. Yep, it was time! Thank god for those quest bathroom on the first floor right by the entrance way! Just laid down the whole day and relaxed on the love seat with my foot elevated the whole time.

After Emily got off work, Thai and Emily came to spend the night. Emily is great! She is so thoughtful! She offered to spend the night and help cook and help me get around. Thanks for the spaghetti Em!!! It was delicious! We ate and watched a couple of movies and knocked out. Thanks again Emily and Thai!

Dec 20th – Wow, my foot did pretty well over night. It didn’t bother me at all. It’s probably because I relaxed and kept it well rested. I haven’t taken any pain killers yet. Woke up this morning with a little discomfort and asked for two Tylenols – regular Tylenol. My husband made breakfast. Everyone ate and then it was already time for Emily and Thai to go because Emily works are 2pm. After they left, I just laid low and relaxed on the loveseat again. Around 7pm, I got bored and decided didn’t want my bananas to go bad so booboo and I made banana bread. I know I should be up but I was so tired of lying down all day long. Don’t worry I didn’t stand for too long! I gathered all that I needed and put them on the table then mixed everything while sitting down. See no pressure on the foot? Ate banana bread and helped booboo with his homework and with reading and writing and it was time to call it night. Took two Tylenols again and headed to bed. See no pain killers yet!!!

BTW, it's snowing like crazy and cold!!!

On another note, I heard that mom went to ER today. How come no one called to inform me? Did they not want me to worry since I just got out of surgery? I just talked to her last night to update her on my surgery. Whenever she sleeps more than usual, she always end up in ER and the docs usually can't find anything but will just diagnosed that she is low on oxygen, potassium, calcium, or that blood pressure is too high. Well, I'll call tomorrow and talk to her. Love you mom!! Get well soon!!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/SU4KUWrAlQI/AAAAAAAAAPs/Xxzlk-4zdLw/s320/niamtais2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282170757751805186" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/SU4KOlYX4HI/AAAAAAAAAPk/RyckkAPustM/s320/niamtais3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282170658620956786" />

Snow in PDX!!!

Darn, I spoke too soon! It was snowing like crazy today and cold too. Woke up and planned on going to work but then booboo yelled out, “Mommy, it’s snowing!” so I peeked out the window. Goodness! My eyes widened when I saw the thick layers of snow on the garage roof. It reminded me of the Minnesota winters. Ugh… I immediately got discouraged and didn’t feel like going anymore. Also, I couldn't stop thinking about the inexperience crazy PDX drivers during times like this. I would much rather stay home and be safe then to be out on the streets with a bunch of lunatics!

I didn’t realize it was that cold until I went outside to capture precious moments of booboo enjoying the snow. My fingers were freezing cold! To be quite honest, it has been eight long years since I left the excruciating cold Minnesota winters therefore, I don’t remember the last time my fingers got this cold.

Anyway, I tried to make omelet for the first time this morning and I’m embarrass to admit that I was unsuccessful. It's not as easy as it looks. LOL Oh for crying out loud, I don’t cook omelets. Simple scrambled eggs will do it for me.

***GOOD NEWS!!!!!! EMPLOYER IS CLOSE TOMORROW!!!!***

Enjoy the pictures!

I can't believe this tree survived the snow.
<img style="cursor:pointer; PDX folks panicked for no reason as usual. Business was definitely good for the grocery stores because paranoid people stocked up like crazy. Or maybe the cold winds haven’t made its way here yet. Then again PDX has crazy weather so it’s impossible to predict what the weather will be.

Today was boring as usual. Planned to go into work today but didn’t. Was lazy this morning so decided to go tomorrow. Booboo said he wanted pizza so we stopped by Costco and picked up a WHOLE pizza. It was a zoo at Costco, probably because of the holiday.

I am so overdue for a haircut. Made appt and got my hair cut. Cut off about 4-5 inches. Yeah, I know it’s short but it’ll grow back. Came home and colored it chocolate cherry.

BEFORE

AFTER

This morning was cold. Met up with the hubster for docs signing - refi on current mtg loan. Going from ARM to 30yr fixed. What a relief! Well kinda, sorta. I don't have to worry about refi ever again. Only downfall is the pymt is high compared to what we used to pay but that's because it's mtg + MI + property taxes, and home ins. In a way I am glad that this time around, we combined taxes & ins. Thanks god! Now I don't have to worry about getting a bill from the county every November! Another thing that gets to me is we have to pay MI this time. DAMN!!!

Headed back to work and it all went downhill from there. Anxiety attacks started kicking in. My breathing got heavier and heavier. So many things circling in my mind. SO MANY THINGS... I felt my body getting weaker and weaker. I hadn't had anything to eat all morning. By the time I reached the work parking lot, I thought I was going to collapse. I kept telling myself to hold on. Put on a fake smiley face whenever I passed other coworkers. Made a cup of green tea hoping that it would help a bit. Tried to focused but every time I looked at the clock, it didn't even move an inch. Arghhhhh!!! I felt my soul crying out for help and wanting to speak to someone - someone who doesn't even know me and vice versa. Someone I can tell my problems to and won't judge me. I wanted to hear that other someone tell me everything was going to be ok. **big sigh** When the clock hit 4:15, I didn't hesitate to shut down my work station and called it night.

On the drive home, spoke with a confidant and had baby cries here and there. Rambled on and on and on like a motor mouth. Was informed that it might be depression. Oh really? I never thought I would hear someone diagnose me with such condition. Who wouldn't be depressed? For this land I am standing and traveling on is like a desert with no camel footprints.

To be continue...

***MISS MOM AND DAD DEARLY***

Last night I made pho. Picked up booboo at home and headed to the Asian store and bought stuff. Came home and wasted no time and went straight to cook. After almost two hours of cooking and preparing, I was pooped out. By the time everything was done, I wasn't hungry anymore.

Whew!!! It’s been a long day. Work was ok – SSDD (same shit different day). J Went to the Dr’s appt and got there around 10:45am. A Filipino woman arrived shortly after I did and was limping badly. She looked Asian but I didn’t pay attention to what ethnicity. While completing the registration paperwork, the only voice echoing in that small office was hers in some foreign language dialogue. It sounded familiar and I suspected that it was a Filipino dialect only because one of my coworker has the same foreign accent. I didn’t realize that the Dr was Filipino, too. Dr. Myrna Casono – how was I supposed to know that was a Filipino name or last name?

Dr. Casono was nice lady. Although I was only there for pre-ops physical, I asked her a lot of questions and she answered every one of them. This is the first time I’ve met the doctor but felt like I’ve known her for a long time. Again, she was very nice lady.

Came home and made several calls to creditors and paid some bills and then headed out to Subway for a yummy sandwich with boobo.

Anyway, looking forward to tomorrow because it's Friday but definitely not looking forward to the cold weather as predicted by weather forecast guys. Watched the forecast and they predicted that it was going to be the coldest few days of the winter. People here in OR are not used to the freezing cold weather so when they hear it's going to get colder then usual, they stock up food and get chains on their vehicles. And people here go crazy! The groceries reported that business is going really well during times like this. But in my opinion, I still think it's nothing compared to MN cold weather - negative temperatures with negative wind chills!!! Now that's BRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Night…

Pulled boobo’s tooth (front) out last night. It was wiggling and will need to come out sooner or later. He was so good and very cooperative. And even I was brave yanking the tooth out, too. When it finally came out, booboo said, “Mommy, that wasn’t so bad...” Awe, my heart melted. We cleaned it with cold water and applied gauze to the open pocket.

Took a few pictures of him with broken tooth. He looked really cute with an open space in the middle when he smiles. After a long half an hour trying to pull his tooth out, he finally went to bed and I showered and called it night, too.

CHECK THEM OUT:
He was excited we finally got it out!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/SUYW1aVckcI/AAAAAAAAAPc/Wqf6eZTSz_Y/s320/IMG_4078.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279932719996637634" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/SUYWyxdRLXI/AAAAAAAAAPU/UbGHy3bAvZE/s320/IMG_4080.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279932674663853426" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 269px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/SUYWviqxDGI/AAAAAAAAAPM/XXVc56JalGg/s320/IMG_4081.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279932619154328674" />
Below: He was so tired he could hardly keep his eyes open.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_s6HIoO1nTzw/SUYWsbABHjI/AAAAAAAAAPE/zh296YGQJuo/s320/IMG_4086.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279932565556370994" />

Morning was same as usual – sluggish. I have a short memory and I don't remember what I did for the day. And maybe some day I can look back and read what I've encountered, accomplished and/or need to accomplish in my life.

So here we go...

Life is ok at the moment. Not going into details but I wished it was better though. My little family is still all together in one piece under one roof. Although I am still confused and hurt at some things but hey who said life was going to be easy. I try not to think about it and just live and enjoy everyday like it's my last, with all the people I love most. At times I have anxiety attacks and wondered if it's the right thing to seek help for alternative substances to ease the mind and soul. Sometimes I even wondered if peace will ever come find me during stressful times. That's all the elaboration on my life.

Couldn't get out of bed this morning. It's hard to get up every morning! Funny thing is the alarm is set one hour before I actually wake up. Don't ask...I don't know why I do that. The snooze button gets hit several times and hard too. If the snooze button was a human head, it'd probably have the worst migraine. My only motivation to get up and feel lively is to wake up my booboo and stretch a bit together with him before completely awake. I'm always rushing in the morning. Why? Why do I torture myself like that? Probably cause I think I can beat the ticking time. LOL I know it's pretty bad!

Work is work. Same thing everyday and repetitively boring. I know...I need to get out and find another more exciting job. My only hesitant is there's a lot of flexibilities at my current job and no micro managing.

Hoping for a new start and new day tomorrow.
